Normally, JDBC adaptors are in a different directory than
Tomcat:
/Library/Java/Extensions
...these are often used in development work or in
applications that require them.

make sure your systems' JDBC adaptors are identical to
those that Tomcat has access to. This way, you can ensure
that your applications are consistently using the same
technology.
